Under the continuous issue model, ALFI does not require accepted articles to wait until every manuscript planned for an issue has completed production. Once an article has successfully completed the full editorial and production workflow, it may be published directly into the current active issue.
Additional articles may subsequently be added to the same issue as they become ready for publication. This approach reduces unnecessary delays between final acceptance and publication while preserving ALFI's formal volume and issue structure.
Each published article receives its definitive bibliographic information when it is published, including its assigned volume, issue, publication date, DOI where applicable, and other relevant metadata. Publication in an active issue therefore represents formal publication of the Version of Record.
An accepted manuscript does not need to wait for the completion of an entire issue before appearing online. Following final editorial approval and completion of copyediting, layout, proofreading, DOI and metadata preparation, and production checks, the article may be formally published in the active issue and made immediately available to readers.
Although articles are published continuously within an active issue, ALFI retains a regular and predictable issue schedule. The journal publishes three issues annually, with regular issue cycles beginning in April, August, and December.
The continuous issue model does not convert ALFI into an irregular publication. It is a publication workflow designed to make finalized scholarly content available without unnecessary delay while maintaining a stable three-issue annual structure.
Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year. Submission before a particular publication month does not guarantee publication in the nearest issue. Every manuscript must successfully complete the journal's administrative check, initial editorial screening, similarity and integrity screening, independent peer review, revision where required, final editorial decision, copyediting, layout, proofreading, and production process.
After all publication requirements have been satisfied, an article may be assigned to the current active issue and published without waiting for other manuscripts assigned to that issue. Issue assignment remains an editorial responsibility and cannot be purchased, reserved, or guaranteed in advance.
ALFI organizes its scholarly content into annual volumes and sequential regular issues. Within each volume, the regular issue sequence is No. 1 (April), No. 2 (August), and No. 3 (December).
Articles may be added progressively to an issue under the continuous issue model, but their final bibliographic assignment must remain stable once formally published. Subsequent additions to an issue do not alter the publication status of articles that have already been released as Versions of Record.
Continuous publication is intended to reduce unnecessary production delays and must not be interpreted as accelerated or abbreviated peer review. ALFI will not shorten, bypass, or compromise editorial screening, independent peer review, ethical assessment, revision, or quality-control procedures in order to publish an article more quickly.
ALFI may occasionally publish special issues, thematic collections, or supplementary scholarly collections when academically justified. Such publications do not replace or alter the journal's commitment to its three regular annual issues unless a formal change to the publication frequency is publicly announced.
Articles published in special issues remain subject to the same editorial screening, independent peer-review requirements, research-integrity standards, conflicts-of-interest procedures, and publication ethics applied to regular ALFI content.
Because ALFI uses continuous publication within issues, the publication date of each article must correspond to the date on which that article is formally made available as the Version of Record. The journal seeks to maintain consistency among the article landing page, PDF, DOI metadata, issue information, indexing metadata, and other bibliographic records.
Articles must not be retrospectively assigned misleading publication dates. Where an error in publication metadata is identified, the journal will correct the record transparently in accordance with its Corrections & Retractions Policy and other applicable editorial procedures.
Agriculture, Livestock, and Food Industry (ALFI) is affiliated with Yayasan Kalidaka Cendikia Nusantara and formally published by WISE Pendidikan Indonesia. The journal and publisher are committed to maintaining regular publication, accurate bibliographic metadata, timely dissemination, and a sustainable continuous issue workflow.
Any future change to ALFI's publication frequency or publication model will be publicly disclosed on the official journal website and implemented consistently across subsequent journal records. Until such a change is formally announced, ALFI's official publication model remains three issues per year—April, August, and December—with continuous publication within each issue.
